Train

I took the train for the first time yesterday. I had to go to dc for a class. I think it might be one of the ways that I might start traveling. Do anyone take takes trains and buses in stead of driving? Is this cheaper or more expensive than driving yourself?

    I don't take public transportation much at all because it is pretty expensive here.

    But if you save money, good for you!

    I live in SE Europe right now, but taking the train is FAR cheaper than driving over here. Plus it is a more pleasant way to travel! We took the train to the Black Sea this summer, and it took one hour longer than driving, but cost a ton less and we could sleep or read on the trip. It was great! Some added insurance for productive travel time is always a bonus...
