HELP

October 3rd, 2014 at 05:51 pm

I'm struggling financial. I don't make much. But I also don't have any unnecessary bills. I know I need to work on a budget but it's hard. I am able to save but I wand up spending that. I'm so use to spending how I like but I need to ream in since my money is funny. I have cut back a much as I think I can but maybe I'm missing something. I don't eat out a lot. I do go on day trips once in a while. I know I need to buckle done and stop spending. I have decided to leave my saving debit cards at home and just carry my main one. if you all have any advise that you think would help I would appreciate it.

I would write down everything you spend for at least one month. It will open your eyes to where you really are spending and how much. It also may keep you from spending because you won't want to write it down. Smile

Can you post your budget and income?

Tracking your income and expenses for one month, as creditcardfree suggested, can be very illuminating.

I read what you said in your profile, "... if you save a little money each month at the end of the year you'll be surprised at how much you have." That sounds very loosy goosy to me. One of my favorite expressions is: "Hope is not a strategy.".... meaning, you need to have specific savings goals and then figure out in concrete terms how much you can save each month to reach them and you need to have the discipline to keep those goals top of mind so you will hit your savings targets month after month.
